Rachel Gilbert Emporium

The new Emporium boutique for Rachel Gilbert is an exploration of the quality of finishes. Both contemporary and luxurious; it is a reflection of the fashion labels’ approach to design that celebrates modern craftsmanship and varied materials. We employed a palette of earthy, textured and natural finishes like textured stone, washed linen and lime wash. To this we confidently paired contemporary insertions such as acrylic resins in warm hues of ambers and pink.

Throughout the store, there is a balance of the linear and the curvy. A warm, yet neutral backdrop with highlights of bold warm colour, accented by subtle postmodern influences that sit comfortably with the fashion pieces.

Varied levels of translucency were explored. Amber resin joinery was derived from connotations with a relic, a precious museum-piece on display. Parallels drawn with the precious jewelled gowns the label is synonymous with.
